As part of IAC's 2006 green initiative to improve the inherent roof airflow.
Initially starting on top (as pictured) and eventually coming down to the soffets (not pictured), we effectivley removed barriers so that a column of air could easily rise up through the roofing superstructure, assisting in cooling without additional deployment of fans or blowers.
